Thoughts and Prayers

My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the 4 young girls that passed away in a car accident last week. It is a tragedy that their lives were taken away at such a young age. When I was in my car accident last winter I thought that I was going to possibly die. My car flipped upside down when I was going to exit the freeway. I was so scared it all happened so fast. I am very thankful that my life wasnt taken away and that I am still living. I also want to give prayers to the family that lost a son in the Ohio high school shooting this week. And also to those who were injured. I couldnt image going through something like this. It is sad that being bullied can lead someone to want to kill those who bullied them or anyone in there way. They said that the shooter had posted on twitter that he was going to bring a gun to school the next day but no one thought he was serious. When someone says something like this even if they say it jokingly it should be taken serious to prevent things like this from happening. I hope that you girls R.I.P and know that you will be dearly missed.

  1. Hi Lindsay,

That is a very scary car accident that you experienced. Was that here in Minnesota, or in California? It is not hard to get into a car accident on the freeways there--lots of people driving very fast, and short freeway ramps in some places that don't allow for enough time to merge with traffic.

Being bullied can lead to a lot of things. The student in small-town Ohio is not the first to bring a gun to school to shoot his tormentors, nor will he be the last. While it is true that someone should have stopped him, he probably never should have been bullied in the first place. It is the bullying itself that should stop. Not only that, but how do minors have such easy access to firearms? And how did he get through school doors with a firearm?

    Sincerely,
    Professor Wexelbaum

  2. My accident was here in Minnesota back home in the cities. I do agree that he shouldnt have been bullied in the first place but he shouldnt have let it get to the point where he wanted to kill students. I dont know how minors have such easy access to firearms. I dont believe that they should but they somehow can get their hands on them. Everyone should keep their firearms locked up more securely so that those who arent supposed to get them shouldnt. I dont know how he got through the school doors with a firearm. I know that he didnt attend that school but the bus that took him to his school picked him up at that school. I find it hard to believe that no one saw him have a gun unless it was safely hidden in his backpack. Overall I feel bad for the families that lost loved ones and for the students that are having a hard time dealing with this situation it would definitely be scary.
